Maybe I missed the big wave of people. hmm.. maybe I should just go back to work sooner. I spend too much money when I'm at home in LA anyways.

Oh... and Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! Merry Kwanzaa!! Happy Hanukah! :)

I'm back and I have a cold

New York was very "interesting".

The Good... TONS of shopping!! Fifth Avenue, Chinatown!! wooo Good pastry desserts and dim sum in Chinatown. Little Italy has gelato (almost as good as the real Italy)!

The Bad... The city is very cramped and extremely dirty. Lots of panhandlers on the subways. Sales tax is 8.375%

And the Ugly... Everyone smokes and drinks Starbucks. New York dogs poo anywhere they feel like it. So you might be stepping into poo on the sidewalk. Our hostel had rats and our bathroom smelled like someone was doing weed *gag*!!!

So I got back Thursday afternoon. I ended up not going to Vegas for the weekend. I'm still in EST zone. I go to bed at 7pm and wake up at 3am... so bad. I went to NY this winter break to look into NYU for grad school. They have a Master's program for my major. On Monday we met up with the assistant dean and the director for the program. They gave us a tour of the whole campus. It required A LOT of quick walking around the whole city of Manhattan. Their colleges are all spread out!! I'm glad I did get a chance to visit this year. I've learned a lot about the city. I love the program and the people in it. I just don't exactly like the city itself. Housing will be impossible to find and the cheapest will be around $1500/month. Cost of living there is just ridiculously expensive. There are no grocery stores, only deli's, and it seems like everyone eats out. Fresh produce is extremely rare. And if there is, it'll go bad the next day. Rooms are tiny and I feel clastrophobic. Lots of rats and things nibbling at my Clif Bar. It will be a very difficult and important decision next year if I choose to go with NYU or even UCLA.

Places I went to in NY during my 4 days there: Grand Central Station, Juniors: ate burger and their famous cheesecake, Lincoln Center (almost saw Nutcracker), Time Square, Bryant Park- ice skate, New York Public Library, Central Park, Empire State Building, World Trade Center, NYSE, Wall Street, Bull statue, Trinity Church, Staten Island Ferry- saw Statue of LIberty, Brooklyn- went to Girmaldi's for famous pizza, shopping on Fifth Ave, Bloomingdales, Macy's, Saks, Rockefeller Center, Washington Square, Chinatown, Little Italy, had kebab and gyro at a sidewalk stand, Metropolitan Museum of Art, St. Patrick's Cathedral, World of Disney Store, M&M store, Build A Bear, H&M, J.Crew, Apple Store, and many gift/souvenir shops haha

I've finally gotten this horrible cold that I've been suppressing since finals. It finally got me and I think I gave it to my Mom too. :T So I'm just staying home for now and relaxing. Only one more week of vacation and then I have to head back to SLO. boo.

Hope everyone is having a nice holiday! Take care! Love you guys all!! :)

LA/NYC/LV

So I finished my finals on Wednesday at 1pm. I got back home Thursday at 12noon. I went shopping yesterday ALL DAY at 3rd St.! Urban had shirts for $5!!! I got a J.Crew dress for $80! =\ Might return it and get the $100... haha Today, I went out with Deanna and Cheryl and we went to Century City. I went to J.Crew, again, and got a tank top for $5 and a nice cable sweater for $50!! And they give student discounts!!! aksdhkahsdkjashdk I never knew about this nonsense!! It was good. I fly out tonight to NY with Carol. I'll be there til Thursday. I fly back into LA Thursday afternoon. The next day I'm going to Las Vegas (not Louis Vuitton) with my parents and bro. I'll be back late on Sunday and going to a Christmas Eve dindin with family. Then, Monday I need to recoup from all the crazy travelling. Tuesday, I'm going shopping again!! And in the evening I'm going with my aunt to see Edward Scissorhands at the Ahmason Theatre! I have to come back to SLO on Jan 3rd. Break is just too short. But I am glad I get to go everywhere for break!!! :D I can't wait to ice skate in NY!!! ohhhh soo excited!! hehehe Happy Holidays everyone!! :)
Friday, September 22, 2006

My new sexy beast... rawr!!

Birkenstock Gizeh in Taupe Memphis Leather

Can you say...??

food coma

a state of uncomfortableness and drowsiness caused by overeating, esp. of unhealthful food

I can't remember what the original setting it was at.

Anyways, my vacation pretty much ends here. I have to leave at 6am. Why am I not in bed sleeping?

I can't believe it's September already. It just hit me today. I saw a huge word, "September" in bold right in my face. It is shocking and in 15 days I start school. I seriously hate work. Why do I hate work? It's because every job we get isn't the same as the one before. Each file has a billion gajillion problems. Each client doesn't understand our workflow. Not all the managers work as a team, so some of us have to pick up after the lazy ones. And we all put in more hours than that is required. But half the time it's the machines/computers we have in our office that aren't making us very efficient. We need faster computers with more memory. It's just ridiculous. So luckily, I still have the key to my old job (across the hall). And let's just say I do what I need to do to get the job done. hehe shhh And my job doesn't end until June (whenever school ends), 2007. bahhh I'll just be counting the days. I'm ready to travel some more. I wish I didn't have to work. I wish someone could just support me and let me travel full time!! I'm not currently reading, but I want to get my hands/read that book below!!

I'm about to pass out right now. Goodnight!!

I went to Europe the first five weeks of summer. I went everywhere I could in a short amount of time! All over London, British Museum (took 3 days), Michelangelo exhibition, British Library (twice), National Gallery (took 2 days), National Portrait Gallery, Victoria & Albert (in 3 hours), Hyde Park, Kensington Park, Green Park, St. James Park, Stomp ($40), Blue Man Group ($50), Mama Mia ($70), Lion King ($50), Les Miserables($50), Warwick Castle, Oxford, Cotsworld, Stratford upon Avon, Winchester, Roman Baths, Stonehenge, Greenwich, Leeds Castle, Canterbury Cathedral, Dover, afternoon tea, Harrods, Picadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, St. Paul's Cathedral, Tesco, Somerfields, Wimbeldon, Oxford Street, Notting Hill, Portebello Market, Little Venice, Westminister Abbey, London Eye, Thames River, Lavenham Press, Bristol, Stanstead Airport, Bologna, Firenze, Duomo, Piazzale Michelangelo, Ponte Vecchio, Galleria dell' Accademia, Vivoli, Riggiano, The Mall, Pisa, Cambridge, West End Live, Chinatown, Gatwick Airport, Venezia, Burano, Doge's Palace, Piazza San Marco, Campanile, Grand Canal, Rialto, Roma, St. Peter's, Vatican, Cupola, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Roman Forum, Colosseo, Piazza Navona, Bocca della Verita, endless gelato, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Loch Lomond, Luss, Shakespeare Globe Theatre, Somerset House, Millenium Bridge, Heathrow Airport, random photos of funny signs. It was truly amazing! I was studying in London with seventeen other GrC students. I had four days weekends and travelled by myself to Italy twice, Ireland, and Scotland. Italian gelato was fabulous!!! The people in Ireland were very respectful and kind. Scotland was just gorgeous!! I flew back early to crash GrC 316. It was just my luck that my professor pulled my name out from a hat. I was the last one to get picked (3 out of 8). I made stickers for five weeks. hehe I'm now part of the UGS management team as the sheetfed prepress manager. Work has been very stressful. I'm home in LA now until next Wednesday (I might get called back into work as soon as next Sunday). What have I been doing at home? Scrapbooking my Europe trip, shopping, and watching LOTS of TV!

I hope all is well with everyone! Matthew Shew and Jimmy, hope you guys are enjoying Europe! Cheryl, come back from Italy (I'm soo jealous)!! Brandy, happy early 21st!! Max, hope you're enjoying Buenos!! Jenny, lil sis, I'm praying for you!! Amy, how's Lancaster?? Miss you guys all!!! Take care!

The view from our classroom at the London College of Communication in Elephant & Castle!

In Europe, there are always giant fake ice cream cones outside of ice cream stores. I had to just bite this one in Stratford upon Avon by Shakespeare's birthplace!
Me at the first day of WIMBLEDON!!

I like to eat rocks from Stonehenge!! mmmm

Sunset in beautiful Firenze!

I slept in this real castle in Loch Lomond, Scotland!!

P.S. Do they do Dean's List or President's List during the summer?? GrC 316 was brutal this summer. Most of the people in the class got Ds and Fs on the midterm. We only had midterm, final, and lab grade!! I got a freakin' A-!! *phew* asjdhaksdhkjahsdkajshdkjhaskdjhasd I seriously thought I was going to get a B-/C+. This prof plays tricks on exams (not qool) and I've taken another class that he teaches, and I didn't do this well. And GrC 421 and 451 that I took in London, Macro gave me A's (as always)! Must eat lots of gelato to celebrate... tehehe Guiseppe's when I get back to SLO next week!!
Wow, xanga has changed...

Sorry for being MIA. I hardly write and read this thing anymore. And I doubt many people read this anymore, too.

On Monday, I went to work and said to my boss, "I'm quiting!" haha Not exactly. I'm sick of doing repetitive stuff in a low pay, unorganized, chaotic work environment. I'm training someone else next week to do my slave work. And now I'm training to do another job for another work... haha workaholic But I'm totally stoked, I got the UGS manager position... and all I have to say is that the asians in GrC are slowly uprising! mwuahaha I'm super excited (about the position)!

My winter quarter sucked like no other. It was such a bad quarter, I don't know how I even survived... luckily, no C's. And somehow in precalc I got a 70% to a 88%. How can that be? o_O Finals were all stressful, but good. And I rushed home to catch my flight from LAX to YVR. Luckily, I say "luckily" because I took my math final earlier and I left Thursday afternoon for LA, instead of Friday. Friday, the 101 north and south bound were closed off because of some crazy guy in Paso Robles hi-jackin' cars all the way down to SB. No way I could I've caught my flight on Saturday at 5am. So it was nice to come home earlier than usual and have some C&O's and Cow's with Brandy! It was super! Garlic rolls! ohhh (btw- Brandy, I owe you a Cow's) *drools*

Like I had enough of college students partying in SLO, my next door neighbors back at home decided to have a party before their finals and were partying til 2am on Saturday and that was not qool (b/c of my flight at 5 in the freakin' morning!). Anyways, my Dad was pissed and went next door and said something to them in Canto. I could kinda hear one of the drunk girls helling and saying how messed up it was that the party had to end/be quiet (and more loud Canto dialog going on....) -.-

Flight to YVR was a pain. I was tired and nervous. It was a coincident that I ran into the rest of the TAGA members in the same line to Customs.. haha (thanks for letting me cut in line). I had to be the one who got left behind in Customs. I was questioned A LOT and had to go to Immigrations to get questioned some more. Limo ride to Four Seasons was nice and relaxing. Saw "Honeywell" on one of the electronics we had in our room (reminded me of our conversation brandy). Called housekeeping like they were our friends and asked for the most randomest things. Dry guest speakers... lots of doodling and passing of notes, water, tea, coffee, small candies to keep us awake. Hot Swedish PhD student/guest speaker came up to me during the Honors Award reception (or so Carol says).. kinda freaky/weird/very strange. But his eyes were..... O_O I tell you it was the shoes and the skirt. >.< CalPoly TAGA won TWO awards this year! So proud! Honorable mention (2nd place) and first place for digital media CD. RIT always wins! I'm so jealous! After the TAGA conference ended, I stayed in YVR for two more days with Johnson and Nissana. It rained like no other there. But it finally stopped towards the end of the trip. LOTS of people smoke there! A lot of int'l exhange students there (fobbish asians smoking everywhere!) *cough* Thursday: bought a $6 DayPass (we made good use of it), took bus to Stanley Park, Aquarium (saw sea otters, dolphins, many fishies, beluga, snakes, turtles, starfishes, jellyfishes, etc.), rode to Davie St., rode to 4th Ave., went back to catch a SkyTrain to Waterfront, randomly decided to take a ferry to north Vancouver, took bus to Grouse Mt. (lots of snowboarders-- felt out of place) it was zero degrees Celcius!, rode back to the ferry, ferry back to Waterfront, walked to Gastown and through ghetto Chinatown at 10pm (it was the scariest $h%t-- lots of ppl selling drugs right in front of us and ppl getting mugged in daylight), finally had dinner at some mex place, walked back to our ghetto hotel, packed til 3:30am. O_O That was just one day! Friday was our last day and got up at 7am -.- I went back to LCBC to exchange one of the icewines. Finished going through Gastown and Chinatown again. Ate cheap lunch... $2.80 plain udon soup, and $2.75 cali rolls, and $2.99 "bubble" tea mmmm My luggage weighed about 80 pounds when I got to the airport! Yeah, that's right! All the wines and beer I brought back for you guys was what made it weigh 80 pounds. Finally, got it to 49.8 pounds! Flight back was very exhausting and all I wanted to do was just sleep. That was my whole spring break.

This quarter I had zero units. As of now, I was able to crash 8 units. I still need one more class badly. *sigh* I can't wait for summer vacation. I can't wait to go to Europe with GrC and Macro! It's going to be crazy (but not as crazy as the ppl going to Amsterdam hehe)! This week I'm going on a church conference down in LA for the weekend. I will be home home for 30 mins. I'm really looking forward to a nice weekend. I will be praying, singing, and learning a lot and meeting awesome ppl from all over the world!

"Real Fact" #79: There are 119 grooves on the edge of a quarter. Did you know that? haha I didn't, but thanks Snapple!

Monday, February 27, 2006

yay for 21! Now, I can go to Las Vegas and shop at the Fashion Outlet!

Last night, went to Mother's for dindin! Thanks everyone!! Recap: I had a small bladder. Before church I really had to go. ReCongress mtg after mass didn't help. Dinner I drank two glasses of soda... and had to go like no other.. haha But Dan kept stalling (I seriously was gonna pee in my pants). Finally, decided "to go" at Mother's... eww But when I came out.. John was standing at the door (did he need to go to the women's restroom, too?) pwuahaha And as I came out, the whole party of 25 stood along the stairway and sang happy birthday! hehe Thanks Jennifer for organizing it! It was the best!

haha And roomies tried to surprise me when I got home (but they didn't know I was coming home so early)! Thanks for decorating and putting notes around the whole house! It looks awesome!

Today: It's been a wet and rainy day. Carolina says rain is good (o_O) means cleansing... haha 2 painful labs and ugly math lecture. Need to ditch 402 lecture to study for 2 midterms. asljdhuwhaukhd It never ends.

But thanks everyone who wished me a happy birthday every hour on facebook! haha yay! It was crazy (good & bad crazy). Thanks for helping me celebrate. Life is still very, very hectic and stressful.

Thursday was beyond bad. I didn't sleep all night. I finished my math hw at like 12 midnight and started studying for the midterm til 9am. GrC 320 was awful. We got back our midterms. I did really bad because I was tired and didn't sleep at all the night before my test. So when I took my test, I filled in the answers on the wrong numbers. O_O I doubt Keif will have any sympathy. He wants everyone to die. After 320, I had a math midterm. First time I didn't finish my midterm. I couldn't answer two problems that had like 5 sub questions each. I had a lot of Mustang Daily work and other nonsense. 32 page paper Monday and 28 page paper Tuesday. I didn't finish class til 7:30pm Thursday. Went to farmer's and got 1/2 a half of strawberries for the party. Ended up leaving SLO like at 11pm and got home at 2am.

Friday, I got up early and went to Costco to get fruits and roses for the party. Then, met up with Lynn to get a skirt at Banana. ahaha I got the last size zero skirt for $63! It was on sale?!? ahh And then, we got our nails done. I got a badly done french manicure and pedicure. Whatever, it was cheap, can't complain. The rest of the afternoon, I had to deal with the balloon people at Party City. So this store is literally 4 blocks away from my house. The workers there were so disorganized and couldn't find our balloons that we had preordered 3 weeks ago. And they were so stupid (in a good way). They didn't charge us more for the pearlized latex balloons... haha. That day I found out that 30 balloons can easily fit into our van. haha 4:30pm came and my parents and I still weren't ready for the party. Luckily, no one came til like 5:30/6pm. My mom was cooking til like 2am. But the food was excellento! Party was good. Saw many, many old friends. It rained at night so the giant pinata was sitting in the bathroom! It was HUGE!! It was perfect... pink, white, and shiny silver!!! I didn't get to eat anything because I had to talk a lot and host. I lost my voice this morning and I think I'm getting sick. I didn't get to take a nap either. And I didn't go to bed til 1am.

Today, we left at about 9:30am and got back to SLO at around 2pm. My room smells like roses now.. mmm! I love it!! And a bouquet of heart-shaped balloons are filled up in my room! Carol and I finished printing the wedding invitation at about 7pm. Now, I gotta hound people into giving me pages for my 100-page book that due THIS Monday!
